Afinia L501/L502 Replacement Printhead (Dye)
HP Thermal Inkjet Printing – A Fit for Every Need
This replacement printhead is for use with the Afinia Label L502 label printer.
This printhead works with a set of 4 dye-based inks (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black). Note: Only use Dye inks with this printhead.
When installing a new print head for the first time, the L502 needs to prime the head with ink, and to do so, the firmware requires that the inks be full. if not, the print head could possibly not be primed. If you need to change a print head, but still has ink in their existing cartridges, you can simply set those cartridges aside for later use so it would not be wasted.
